The BLUE KNIGHTSŪ is a
non-profit fraternal organization consisting of active and retired law enforcement
men & women who enjoy riding motorcycles.
In the Spring of 1974, Ed Gallant from the Bangor, Maine P.D. and Chuck Shuman from the Brewer, Maine P.D. met with five other officers from the area and formed a small, local motorcycle club. The rest, as they say, is history.
Soon, Blue Knight chapters
were being formed in other states and beyond. With the addition of Canada,
and later Australia and Europe, the Blue Knights became an international organization.
We now have 19.000 members in 553 chapters in 28 countries!
There are no strangers
in the Blue KnightsŪ, just friends you have not met before.
We are a real big family, so the whole family of the member can attend every
meeting and activity.
We donated from 1991 to now more than 2,973,575 US Dollar in cash and more
than 410.000 US Dollar in goods to various charities all over the world.
The European Conference
has now around 1800 members in 13 European countries (Austria, Belgium, France,
Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Swiss, Kroatia,
Finland, etc.) organized in 68 chapters. In England are also chapters, but
they belong to an other Conference.
We promote Motorcycle safety.
We always " Ride with Pride".
